About Us

TroBudd, Inc. is a construction and development management company focused on identifying, acquiring, planning, and developing residential, professional office, and commercial properties in the central Shenandoah Valley with a concentration in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. TroBudd, Inc. has an excavation subsidiary which assists in development of the various projects. TroBudd has managed and developed 10 projects over the past 15 years. We currently have 7 active projects in our pipeline of which five are residential developments, one student housing project and one mixed 105 acre commercial project across from the new RMH Healthcare Campus.

Walt Trobaugh is a Harrisonburg native.  He has a BS in science from the University of Richmond and a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Virginia.  After graduate school, he worked for KPMG in Roanoke before returning to Harrisonburg.  Walt worked for a division of General Electric as a Finance Manager before starting several businesses in 1993 which evolved into TroBudd, Inc. and it’s affiliated companies in 1995.

Walt is a Certified Public Accountant and is active in civic and fraternal organizations in the community.  He is a member of the Shenandoah Valley Builders Assoc, the Harrisonburg Lions Club and Elks Lodge #450 having served as Exalted Ruler.

  Ted Budd is a native of Harrisonburg, VA.  He received a BBA in Finance and Economics from James Madison University in 1988 and an MBA with a concentration in marketing from Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University in 1992. 

After returning to Harrisonburg in 1993 he joined his current business partners in launching several businesses which evolved into TroBudd, Inc. and it’s affiliated companies in 1995.  He is currently an owner of  TroBudd, Inc. and it’s affiliated companies, serving in the capacity of Secretary/Treasurer.  Ted is active in community organizations serving as President of Harrisonburg Lions Club in 2003, and as Treasurer 2005-2009.  Ted is a member of the Harrisonburg Elks Lodge #450.
